DH means Dead Husband, Right??!!

Postby AJ's Mom » Feb 22, 2007 1:24 pm

It's funny now, but not so much then!

I had just returned from I think my 16th ER visit and hadn't had anything solid to eat in about 8 weeks. I could barely keep my eyes open lying in bed but I heard a wierd noise.

I look over and there is my DH eating a little debbie like he was making love to it!! "Oooohhhhh this is soooooo gooooood! You have noooooooo idea how gooooood this is!"

I think my head spun around a few times as it took everything I had in me to scream at him!! He froze and then started running! (Like I could catch him!) I could hear him running all the way across the house apologizing about 100 times until I couldn't hear him anymore. I think he ventured back in about an hour later and he didn't eat in front of me for the whole rest of my pregnancy! He still forbids me from telling this story to our friends because he feels so bad! I just laugh.

Sometimes...they don't think all the time. My husband used to get drinks and snacks while I was in the hospital and sit in my room eating them. He wouldn't talk, and he would try to be really quiet...which only made it louder. He is the king of making stinky meals at home though!

My DH pulled that crap on me while I was in labor. I don't know if anyone else was like this but I would suddenly get a great big appetite while I was in labor. Of course they wouldn't let me eat anything beyond ice chips at that point. My DH went out and got himself a snickers and a coke and did the whole eating while having an orgasm thing. The L & D nurses caught him and threatened to kick him out.
