Serious flashbacks

My HG baby is 15 months old, but for some reason I have just started to have really vivid flashbacks (things I am honestly just now remembering) of the pg, and the flashbacks are accompanied by nausea and sweating. Is this just part of post-HG life? I can only guess that the reason this is happening now is because my husband and I have agreed to start trying for baby #2 in September. Maybe this is my body's reaction to the fear of another HG pg?

Yes - the same thing happened to me when I was thinking about ttc again. I found seeing a psych really helpful. I learnt lots of skills for dealing with PTSD & he helped me plan for another HG pregnancy. It's like your subconscious sensing you are going to jump off a cliff without a parachute & is sending you lot's of messages warning you! Your body wants a parachute - and planning/preparing (having a really good protocol that covers getting HG the same or worse & a medical team that agrees on the protocol before you ttc, childcare arranged etc) will help you feel the next time around can be safer & better managed. Good luck!

I forgot to say really exciting that you want to try again! You have a lot of experience which will help. Wishing you the best for having a better pregnancy next time around.

Thank you so much! Great advice - I am going to start planning my protocol and line up some therapy now so that I have a good 6 or 7 months before we are ttc.
