Goodbye and thanks for the crackers.

My boss, while I was resigning, decided to offer the following words of wisdom:

1. "Maybe you could cut back to just one day a week?"
2. "You get the pregnancy that you expect" (cause I so expected to have HG with my first baby?!)
3. "You need to stop having such a victim mentality"
4. "You have power over sickness, you can speak authority over illness" (this one was about having a 'positive' mindset)
5. "It's not going to happen this time"
6. (When announcing me leaving at the staff meeting) "I'm happy and sad, but maybe when she's feeling better she can come back"
7. "It's just such a shame, we were finally going to be able to start paying you" (I had been volunteering two days a week for seven months)

There is no accounting for stupid. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be volunteering for them anytime soon. I should also add, this was his response after I forewarned him when I first started that when or if I did become pregnant I would be leaving... which is why I didn't want a paid position.
