HG gift baskets....

Postby Gracie » Feb 01, 2006 12:26 pm

Some poor soul mentioned in another post getting a gift basket of food when they went off work because of the hyperemesis.... it got me to thinking that someone out there should start a gift-basket service for HG sufferers and their families.

Anyone who wants to use the idea... feel free to take it and run with it! I am sure the ladies here will all gladly provide input as to what our ideal basket would consist of.

* a beautiful, shiny spit cup
* a packet of tissues to acompany said spit cup
* a little sign with #### off! (fill in gap with own word) to produce when being crackered
* a frame to put your first scan photo in
* a little silver pot (like babies' first curl pot) to collect all your hospital id tags in

Hmmm......!

every OTC med available: meclinzine, dramamine, b6, unisom, etc. I'm thinking some Tums and other heartburn aids. Constipation aids like Colace or enemas and suppositories. Also, a 6 pack of Ensure. Also must include protective masks for smells.

Oh wait, no. There has to be a SPECIFIC bucket, generally used for survival and/or camping, but how appropriate.

The Ultimate HG bucket- two in one- both toilet and bucket. May recommend two of these, for when we need one at each end!

Teddi...

I love your bucket!! Perfect suggestion about the OTC meds.

Foodment:
I want some sour Jolly Ranchers or sour Skittles in mine...
End Foodment

I also want to add a t-shirt that I saw, it was green and said " It ain't easy being queasy" Unfortunately a fluffy  was wearing it and thankfully I did not have the strength to march over and rip it off her back. The nerve of the fluffies!

Unscented deodorant & unscented dry shampoo for the days that we cannot even stand a shower but want to do something...

The 102 pack of panty liners so that we don't have to worry about peeing when vomiting.

I'm sure that I can turn this into an industrial-sized bucket!

-An engraved spit cup, Mandy :D .
-Tshirt defining HG or one saying, "I DO NOT HAVE M/S"
-Some B6
-Zofran/Reglan/Phenegran coupons
-Anti-normal spray, unscented
-

I think Gracie's lunch box provides a perfect illustration for the puke bucket. And Teddi's two in one is great, but we'd need two to efficiently wee-puke. LOL on all the art work, ladies  .
