Hi all. This is a topic that hasnt been mentioned in a while, so I thought I would bring it up for any newcomers and ttc'ers who may have forgotten.
H pylori is a bacteria that lives in the stomach and can cause nausea, etc.
It is a good idea to have yourself testing prior to conception in case you have it. It is easily treated with antibiotics. The test is a simple blood draw that gets sent to the lab.
You can still get tested even if you are already pg, just mention it to your ob.
This is something I reccomend you add to your protocol just in case.
Good Luck to all!
Huge Hugs,
Lisa

I had HG with my son for 8 months. This was 3 years ago. I was just recently treated for ulcers caused by h. pylori. Is there a correlation, can you direct me to reasearch on the subject. I have been terrified of getting pregnant again, but won't give up hope on having a second child in the future. Could my h. pylori infection have caused it?

While it is unlikely that having h pylori caused your hg, it is possible that it contributed some to your level of nausea and vomitting in conjunction with hg. I will see what I can find for you in terms of research on this subject.
If anyone else has it at hand, please post
