My son just handed me a walkie talkie and he's running all over the place while I just hang out in bed....and I'm playing by staying in bed. This is too cool. Anyone with older kids needs walkie talkies, too.

Hmmm...do you think I could teach a two year to use a walkie talkie?
Good idea Suzanne! It's like you're playing with them but don't have to move!

We use a walkie-talkie for our oldest all the time. We let her take it and she can run around the neighborhood (we live in an area that is like a small town) (very safe) and we know where she is and can tell her to come home whenever we need her. It works out great. Ours have a five mile range so we use them if we are traveling in two vehicles and don't have cell phone service also.
