Thats right, we got the call yesterday. Its offical. DH has had 2 negative semen anaylsis done, and he is now considered STERILE! (Im jumping up and down doing the happy dance).

Ok, now to just get over the fear that the tests are really correct

And to share personal info, Im really hoping that since pregnancy isnt an issue now, I can go back to really enjoying sex the way I did before I ever knew HG existed.

That's great! It took me a full year to truly relax and stop obsessing that I'd still somehow get pregnant, so don't be surprised if your mind still goes there every month.

Yay! One of my best friends got pregnant a couple years after her dh's vas. He had all the follow up and stuff done but stuff grew back together or something crazy!!! I will never feel safe!! Well, maybe after menopause

LOL at the energy comment... isnt that the truth

Dh and I were just discussing follow up exams... he keeps insisting since he has "hardware"- acutual metal clamps, and since they removed over 4 inches of "tubing"on each side of them, it will NEVER be possible to get prego. Im asking him to humor me with a yearly follow up test. Doesnt seem TOO unreasonable no? He says the only way Im getting prego is if I have sex with someone else...lol (NOT gonna happen!!!!). Alas.... at least he feels comfortbale about it..lol ll get there eventually!

Our daycare mom worked in a clinic pre-kids and tells the story of a guy who swaggered in for a vasectomy and went off proudly telling the world that there would never be any more kids, that he could fool around and would certainly know his wife had been fooling around if she got pregnant. Surprise, surprise - she got pregnant, and it turned out that the guy never went in for his second follow-up test. They discovered he had 2 sets of vas tubes and only one had been snipped - OOPS!
