Going off Reglan Q

Postby Beth B » Aug 15, 2005 7:40 pm

Has anyone else encountered any problems when weaning off Reglan? (I finally did, at 35 1/2 weeks - hurrah!!). I'm less hungry, which is a lovely thing, but I seem to have BM issues - either too firm or too loose, and with uncomfortable cramping either way (sorry if this is TMI!! :-( ). I'm assuming it's my body adjusting to being off the Reglan and my digestive processes getting used to functioning on their own, without the Reglan speeding them up?

Oh OUCH! I'm so glad you were able to get off, but I'm sorry your having cramping and other fun issues. My poop experience is limited to Zofran constipation, so I'm no help. Sorry.

Have things improved since you posted? Hope so.

After several days, things did seem to settle down again. Good to know for others when they wean off, I guess! :-)

I could not take Reglan, I took it for two days and everytime I took it I would involuntary leg spasms. It completely freaked me out and I refused it. Interesting to read that is one of the symptoms.
