MCG vs. MG

Postby Alison » Jan 07, 2006 1:33 am

Does anyone know how many MCG's make up an MG? My multivitamin says it has 1,000 MCG of Folic Acid and I am wondering how much that is. I understand MG but not MCG.

Thanks for the info!

Ok, I can answer my own question now. So, for any of you wondering...

There are 1,000 mcg in 1 mg, and 1,000 mg in 1 g.

Therefore, my multivitamin has 1 mg of Folic Acid... Hello, why didn't they just say that?

Well, I hope that helps someone out there.
