Peak times of medications

Postby peanut » Jul 09, 2006 3:05 pm

I thought that this information might help someone out there besides me. I have found that I have a time of day where the HG seems to be at its worst. I have tried to change my medications around to be at the peak for these times, and I thought I would share the peak of the medications with you in case it could help somebody else. These are two of the medications that I am on, feel free to add more (I will probably add more as I get bored in bed watching my IV drip - about as exciting as paint drying).

Zofran:
with the 8 mg tablet the peak for this drug is 1 1/2 hours.

Phenergan:

Orally and intramuscularly the peak for this drug is 2-3 hours

Suppositories the peak for this drug is 8 hours (maybe this is why it didn't seem to work so well for me)
