Exhausted but still have a job

Postby Tracy34 » Jun 26, 2007 2:42 pm

Just wanted to send an update. My boss got the atty's letter of representation. He then told me I'll be having an evaluation this week as there are "several performance issues." My lawyer said that was fine and to go ahead with it. They have nothing on me, no previous evaluations, no write-ups, nothing.

However, work has been exhausting already. My task list has doubled since yesterday. I'm just documenting everything I can and doing the best I know how. I am still sick, so I have to make frequent trips to the bathroom. :sickfast: Otherwise I am trying to stay positive. I still have a job and will try to stick it out to the end of this pregnancy (January :verygreen: ).

I'm so stressed out and just physically and mentally shot. I'm getting depressed as I am only one person. I can only handle this pace for so long.

I completely understand how you are feeling. I was with my employer (that I was fired from one week before ds #3 was born) and experienced great difficulty during my pg #2.

It was because of how difficult it was that my ob put me on disability much sooner with my last pg. Do keep documenting and keep your atty fully updated. H/She will fight for you.

I wanted to let you know that you are not alone and hope that you are able to find some relief soon (before January) from the stress level.

:hugs:

Thank you. I know you've gone through hell too. :hugs: I just refuse to let anyone get away with doing this so that is why I absolutely intend to fight as long as I can.

We have rights.

Dear Tracy,
Good for you. I'm crossing my fingers that you get results. If he wants to let you go, it should cost him at least some money and time.

Thanks for asking! It's been difficult. My boss has doubled my work load (all documented) and sticking me for every little thing he can (also documented), so I just keep plugging away and consulting my attorney about everything.

Last week I was out sick on Thurs (due to the HG) so when I came in on Friday, he had doubled my work load. I ended up taking work home with me to get caught up. In the past when I've been out, he has given work to the Admins downstairs to do. He didn't do that this time, even though they both told me they were very slow that day. Basically, he's just trying to stick it to me.

I'll keep you guys posted!

I hope that in the end you'll be able to stick it to him with a nice fat settlement or jury award. Keep updating us as things happen.
