Look up your state's disability laws here

This is a great link to a summary of each state's disability and pregnancy leave laws. The desription of the laws begins on page 17.

Good link, but be warned...I looked up my state and the information was inaccurate as to state employees. (Yes, I am sure.) In addition, their footnotes for my state were misnumbered. (The footnotes supposedly for Montana were Maryland statutes.)

When I have time I'll email them the proper information with citations.

Edited 12/21/05 to say I emailed them with the proper information. Here is a link to laws and regulations for maternity/pregnancy leave for employees of the State of Montana: http://hr.mt.gov/HRServices/employeehan ... Disability.

I guess I should add that you should always check with a lawyer, or your state's employment office, but it's a start.
