I voted for the situation in my 1st pregnancy. I took a leave and was unable to return due to HG. I honeslty feel like I was let go though, as my employer was not willing to work out a compromise in schedule, etc. However, I was offered a lateral job 6 weeks post partum. I turned it down.
For this current pregnancy, I prevoiusly used all of my extended sick leave time for my 2nd HG pregnancy, which was theraputicly terminated. (I worked part time and didnt qualify for FMLA). So, going into this, we planned for me to quit if neccesary. I did this, as I worked in an ER in a hospital, and it was shift work, and although they would of held the postition for me, I felt it was unfair to my coworkers- espeically since I was planning on quitting once this baby arrived anyways.
