Maybe an announcement that "Hey we're removing this folder," would be in order. :)

I can only assume that the admins have removed Life or access to Life for a good reason. For that reason, I have chosen to give them some time to do their VOLUNTEER jobs here. In the meantime, there are plenty of other posts for me to catch up on!

wait for them some time to do their VOLUNTEER jobs here

I realize that tone often doesn't translate on the web, but that came off as rather chiding.

I don't think any of us were being pushy or expressing a negative attitude. And I'm fairly certain that everyone realizes that all of the moderators are volunteering their time, and likely don't need a strong reminder. We are all gratefull for these forums.

I think this is more of a "whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one!" post.

So, I don't think it really merits a finger shake and talking to. just my humble opinion.

Let us please take a moment to appreciate the hard work of the admins and technical people (and yes, that is the technical term I am sure) that goes into maintaining these boards and not jump to any conclusions regarding the Life folder - I am sure that any necessary situations (whether they be community issues or technical issues) are being appropriately addressed. Also, let's please remember that these boards are a courtesy to us that are going through or have gone through hg and are part of a larger, overall foundation that is working hard to help all hg sufferers. All other aspects are just gravy and we do not want in any way for the content and atmosphere of those boards to detract from the overall message and work of this foundation.

ummmm...I was just trying to make sure I wasn't going crazy...I appreciate the admins and mods and their volunteer efforts...but I can't go into some of the other folders right now and the Life folder was my safety zone...

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.

sorry for creating a ruckus :(

Kelly, I don't think you started a rukus at all. I think your question was valid and I think the rest of us were just acknowledging that it wasn't just you and we were glad it wasn't just us.

You have nothing to feel bad or guilty about!

That is enough. The folder is missing. There is a reason. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. When admin get a break from thier paying jobs and thier family they will let you know.

I am sorry you feel that way Melissa. But this is not the place to get into it. PM mods or admin.

I'm going to step up and say I agree with Melissa. I also think I know why the admins and mods act as they do. They are trying to make things easier on the women who are hging by not allowing things to get heated. To be quite honest though, when I was hging, I honestly was doing well to keep up with my tri folder. I rarely ventured into the other forums because I realized that I may not be able to handle those posts or keep up with the conversations.

I also agree that there are posts that I find offensive and against my beliefs but I wouldn't censor someone or deny their right to voice their opinion. We are adults here after all...and I think we can gauge our own posts and reactions.

Not trying to offend or defend anyone or anything...just my two cents...

Erin, I did, and got no answer.

I will not apologize for my thoughts and beliefs, and I have tried so very hard from making any comments that are hurtful and disrespectful. But what does it matter? In a few moments you'll have me deleted and that will be that.

I am not aware of one single user who is privy to all the complaints, issues, concerns that are brought up on here. The admin team though, does, "hear it all", from many points of view. And there are so many points of views, Uyours is not the only one, or the most valid one. And then we are left to make decisions. And all we are guaranteed is 100% disapproval rating from someone.

We try to treat everyone with concern and respect, and being humans, we do appreciate that in return.

The Life folder will be back later, exactly what time I am not sure. Thanks for your collective patience. Apologies for any confusion!

During a difficult time for everyone... :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I only lurk now days because I'm afraid of how things are received by me (especially during my time of issues - mania). It is a difficult task to be a moderator and I thank you. I also thank all my HER sisters for all of their thoughts, opinions, faults, greatness, loving embraces.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Sometimes it is not said enough and we just need the hugs and warm thoughts at times.
