* Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do practice?"

*If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff?

* If the police arrest a mime artist, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent?

* What was the best thing before sliced bread?

* If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

* Why are hemorrhoids called "hemorrhoids" instead of "asteroids"?

* Why doesn't the word 'phonetic' begin with an 'f'?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

***When people ask if you could have three things on a deserted island, why do most people never say "a boat"?

***Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

***Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle?

***If nobody buys a ticket to movie, do they still show it?

Actually, they do - because if someone comes in late, that way the rest of the showings for that movie still run on schedule. (My very first job was in a movie theater)

If the same dog goes down to the same beach and collects the same amount of golf balls, how many ships does it see?

I've never been able to answer this one...
