THERES HOPE, THERES HOPE, BIG HUGS TO YOU ALL!
This site gives me courage and continues to educates me, thank you everyone!
HERES WHATS HAPPENING:
Im on a central PICC with TPN with 20 mg pepcid IV, Zofran oral disolve 8mg X2 day. Mind you this was somewhat working some days, and not so much other days..what FINALLY WORKED.... taking two more doses of Pepcid...10 mg, 2 times a day (when Im not on TPN) first thing when I get off the IV, and then 1 mini pill in jello in the afternoon. IT REALLY IS WORKING. My dr is not sure why the pepcid is working against the nausea, but as long as its safe. Im happly coming back to my family!!!!! The generic for Pepcid is Famotidine, dh found the generic at Cosco. I actually drove my car.... and took my son to visit grandama for the first time in 2 months!! Ask about the Pepcid, it may work for you to. Yipeee.

Great to hear! I just convinced my doc to allow me to put 40 mg of pepcid in my TPN. I hope it makes a difference.

I do hope it works, if not, keep searching, it took 3 1/2 months to figure out what 'worked' for me. NEVER GIVE UP!
If your on TPN (total prntl nurtrition) 24 hours a day than putting it in the bag sounds like a good way to go, If your only on tpn part of the day, are you able to take the tablets? I'm on 12 hours a day with 20mg in the bag, when Im on my own during the day I take the pepcid tablets, 10mg, 2Xday.

Dr cant quite figure out why the pepcid works on nausea, but I refuse to give it up now!

Shlby -

What great news...moving from jello to pudding, LOL. Only an HGer would appreciate the significance of that!

I'm so happy to hear that things have taken a turn for the better. I really think Pepcid would help so many HGers! I'm glad to hear it's helped you!

Yeah! I have to agree that jello to pudding is quite significant. I'm ecstatic that so many of you are doing well adding pepcid! Even my dh is nodding about the jello to pudding! lol. He probably remembers the worst of HG better than I do. Poor guy.

Huge hugs, Andy
