Hi Dee,
Ok, so according to the rules you have to try to antiemetics. Ok, the obvious other one most HGers go through is Reglan. Reglan is renowned for causing the same time of anxiety reaction that Phenergan caused in you. It is probably what they would accept you trying. There is a whole list of drugs that is used for HG and I'll go find the link and post it here.

If trying their rules doesn't turn out to be an option, have you tried talking w/ a supervisor or manager when you call and talk to the insurance company? There is often this 12 day rule, but nearly all insurance companies have an over-ride process that takes your Drs. involvement but is possible.
Some other options: 4 mg Zofran is the same price usually as 8 mg Zofran. You could get twice the amount of Zofran for the same price if your Dr. would change your Rx to 8 mg Zofran pills instead of 4 mg Zofran pills. Zofran is also available ODT, but I don't know if they are splittable, and it sounds like you're swallowing them ok, and do well if you can get an adequate dose. I'd work w/ your Dr. There ARE options and ways to make this work more smoothly for you one way or another.
Call your pharmacist and find out what the prices for Kytril and Anzemet are in comparison to Zofran. Sometimes one of these "sister" drugs to Zofran are less expensive, and although not as well known as Zofran have been used successfully by HGers.
I responded to your other message and suggested steroids as well.
Let me know if you need more info,
Andy
