Quitting work

Postby kemama » May 17, 2005 8:18 am

I am considering quitting my job, but am not sure. I am 16 weeks pg, and have been off work for 7 weeks with HG. Not sure when I will possibly be feeling better enough to go back. Only work part time (2 days a week, 8 hours a day, standing the whole time). Have definitely decided not to go back after baby is born, so I am considering quitting now. Feeling so guilty about being too sick for so long to take care of my 2 children, that I want to spend all my time with them when I start to feel better, rather than using up my energy at work. Financially OK- the main problem is just making the decision. I like my job, although very stressful. Also, we are in the process of trying to sell our house and will be moving this summer and DH is working on fixing up our new house-so a lot of suff on me right now in addition to HG. Any words of wisdom?

What did you decide to do? I see this post is kind of stale, but personally I would not work during HG if I didn't have to. If you can swing it financially, I say take care of yourself while you are sick and if/when you start to feel better, enjoy the time with your kids!

I second that, If you can swing it financially, stay home. Not too many people can afford to do it. I know it can be boring though.
